Retrome Barcelona is a boutique hotel in the center of Barcelona. When we heard about the Viggo Smart TV, we decided to add it as part of our room experience. It was a very good decision, as Spanish TV is not too appealing, and 90% of our guests are non-Spanish guests that would like to have different entertainment on their TV.
However, our biggest surprise, was the use of the Communication tool from the rooms to our reception. We believe in advanced technology, and we encourage our guests to communicate with us via the Communication tool of Viggo (forget the old fashioned, Dial 0…).
It is a great success for us, but mainly to our guests because they are used to communicate nowadays with tools like WhatsApp, and now, thanks to the Viggo Smart Stay App, we create a private messaging channel with our guests. We have had many cases when guests communicated with us when they traveled outside the hotel, and asked us to surprise their spouse with a bottle of chilled Cava in their room, before they return shortly. We highly recommend this to any hotel operation, and particularly to boutique hotels that focus on guest service.
